We are a church that loves Jesus, knowing it is His grace and truth that transforms lives.
Calvary Chapel North Thurston started in the spring of 2013 as a church plant from Calvary Chapel Olympia. We currently meet at a local school in the northeast area of Lacey.
Our Sunday morning service is at 10am and we also have a midweek service on Thursdays at 7pm as well as small groups that meet in homes throughout the week.
Our services include a time of worship and teaching. We aim to connect each message with Jesus since He is central to all of Scripture as well as draw out application that is practical to everyday life.
If you are coming with your family we have children’s ministry that meets during service for children up through 5th grade. We also have youth ministry that meets during service on Sundays and midweek on Thursday nights. On Sundays, youth are in the main service for worship but then are dismissed after the songs for their own engaging time of learning. On Thursday nights, youth meets at 7pm at church for their own youth group time where there is Bible study, group discussion and some activities. It is our desire for your first visit to be a welcoming experience. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions before you come.

1.
We believe the Bible, comprised of 66 books, is the inspired, true, complete Word of God and the infallible rule of faith and practice. We believe the central message of the Bible is that it bears witness to Jesus Christ and the Gospel. We believe the Word of God is the final authority for the church and for life. 2
Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21; John 5:39; Luke 24:27; Hebrews 10:7; Acts 2:42; 2 Timothy 4:2-4
2.
We believe in one God, who eternally exists in three distinct persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, who share the same nature, attributes and perfections. We believe God created all, upholds all and is worthy of all worship.
Genesis 1:1; Exodus 34:6-7; Deuteronomy 6:4-5; Psalm 90:2; Matthew 28:19-20; 2 Corinthians 13:14; 1 Timothy 1:17
3.
We believe in Jesus Christ, that He is fully God and became fully man, that He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died a substitutionary death on the cross, physically rose from the grave, and is seated at the right hand of the Father and will return to this earth in power and glory.
Isaiah 7:14; Micah 5:2; Matthew 1:23; Mark 16:19; Luke 1:34-35; John 1:1-2, 14; 8:58; 11:25; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; 1 Timothy 3:16; Hebrews 1:8; Revelation 1:8
4.
We believe in the divine person of the Holy Spirit, who is sent to convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment, and to regenerate, sanctify, empower and unify all who believe in Jesus Christ. The supreme evidence of the Spirit-filled life is love and glorification of Jesus.
John 14:16-17; 15:26; 16:8-11, 13-14; Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 12:4-13; 2 Corinthians 3:18; Galatians 5:22-23; Titus 3:5
5.
We believe man was created in the image and likeness of God, but that through Adam’s sin, all of mankind has fallen and inherited a sin nature; thus man in his natural state is lost, alienated from God and incapable of attaining salvation through personal effort or merit.
Genesis 1:26; Romans 3:23; 5:12-19; Ephesians 2:1-3
6.
We believe salvation is a free gift of God offered to all who will humbly repent of their sin and in faith believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. This salvation by grace includes justification in Christ, sanctification through Christ and glorification with Christ.
John 3:16; 14:6; Romans 10:9; Galatians 2:16, 20-21; Ephesians 2:8-9; Titus 3:5; Philippians 3:20-21
7.
We believe in the church as established by Christ, made up of believers in Him, unified as one body under His authority. We believe in the great commission and the church’s responsibility to preach the gospel, make disciples, and be salt and light in this world. We believe in the teaching of Christ, as it relates to individuals and to the church, to “render to Caesar [i.e. government] the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.”
Matthew 28:18-20; Mark 16:15; Matthew 5:13-16; Mark 12:17; Acts 4:19-20; 5:29.
8.
We believe in the physical resurrection of both the saved and the lost. We believe all those who place their faith, hope and trust in Jesus Christ will experience life, joy, and peace in the presence of God for eternity while those who reject God's gift of salvation will be separated from God forever because of their unwillingness and unbelief.
Daniel 12:2-3; Matthew 5:3, 5:20; Mark 9:42-48; John 3:18; 1 Corinthians 15; Revelation 20:11-15
9.
We believe human life is of inestimable worth in all its dimensions, including pre-born babies, the aged, the physically or mentally challenged, and every other stage or condition from conception through natural death. We are therefore called to defend, protect, and value all human life.
Genesis 27, 31; Psalm 139:13-18; James 1:27; 3:9
10.
We believe God instituted marriage and He alone has the right to define marriage. We believe that marriage as the Bible explains it has only one meaning: the uniting of one man and one woman in a single, exclusive union, and that this is the foundation for the family and a healthy society. We believe that a person’s gender and sexuality are determined by God biologically and are gifts not to be rejected or changed. We believe sexual intimacy is to be reserved and practiced exclusively within Biblical marriage. It is out of love for our neighbor (not “animus”) and prudent concern for the common good (not “prejudice”) that we speak and labor to build and preserve God’s declared pattern and principles for sexuality, gender and marriage. For these reasons we only officiate and recognize marriages in accordance with the Bible’s definition of marriage between a biological man and a biological woman.
Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:4-6; 1 Corinthians 6:9-11, 18-20; 7:1-3; Ephesians 5:3-7; 1 Thessalonians 4:3-4
11.
In conclusion, this statement of faith summarizes but does not exhaust the extent of our beliefs. In all matters of faith and practice we affirm the Bible as our final authority. This statement of faith was prepared by the board of elders at Calvary Chapel North Thurston who possess the final interpretive authority for this church in regard to what it stands by and lives by.
